- The code is on github here, and a manual download is here.
- Upgrade command: sudo /opt/cartulary/bin/upgrade.sh
- **Please note that there was an update to the upgrade.sh script in the v0.6.11 release, so unfortunately you may need to run the upgrade command multiple times until you get no script errors if you are coming from a release version prior to v0.6.11. Possibly 3 or 4 times. I know this is messy and apologize for that. If you have any trouble please post to the Freedom Controller/SOPML google group linked at the bottom.
- You wanted more than I was worth...
- The primary focus of this release is on token support with cartulizing articles.
- Bug Fixes (the notable ones)
- - The crontab needed paths when calling node for the aggregator
- - IPFS php lib needed to be updated to current
- Improvement: IP Info tracking
- - This is disabled by default. Turn it on at the top of your prefs page.
- - When enabled, you will see your current IP address at the top of the page always
- - Any time you click/tap on it, it will show you what the world knows about you from your IP
- - This type of geolocation data is creepy
- - Do note, that turning this on will make your site poll info from ip.nf (a google property) any time you load your page
- Improvement: IPFS in the editor
- - The IPFS integration in the editor now creates hashes for both OPML and HTML
- - This makes sharing easier
- - It now supports the latest version of IPFS
- - Remember that you can open OPML from the editor using "Open by url..." and the scheme: ipfs://[hash]
- - For instance, on IPFS this page is: ipfs://QmaodENCGL4hJ9NXJ5QnuKuMqLJcmMMmtYvuE7eitWWXMW
- - And the IPFS of the opml for this page is: ipfs://QmW57UHjVLzSN3weeeEVQUxjC3Wqt2SWfASMEtwCvZtUqs
- New Feature: Cartulizing on the web without bookmarklets (i.e. token based)
- - You can now send a url to be cartulized by sending a POST to "your.cart.server/cgi/in/cartulize"
- - The parameters for the form POST are:
- - token: [get this from your prefs page]
- - url: [full url of the article]
- - content: [optionally the full text of the article]
- - overwrite: [set to "true" or "false"]
- - You can use this API to send articles to your server to be archived any way you want.
- - I'm using it currently to send articles from an iPhone "Shortcut", allowing me to cart articles from apps that normally hide the "Safari" option from the share sheet.
- - Using "overwrite" is good if you notice that the browser bookmarklet didn't do well with extracting content. You can re-cart it using another method (like iPhone "Shortcut" mentioned above) and "overwrite:true" will use the new content, instead of the old garbage.
- If there are any bugs please post them here in the comments, or in the Freedom Controller google group.
